I think the easiest way is to Either turn of the broadcast function of the
cable modem/router or, put your extreme into bridge mode. This is actually
what I did since Verizon FIos forces these combo modem/routers on you. If you

All you do is connect your AirPort Extreme to your Mac and the other end in to
your provider's modem if that's the type of ISP you use. In other words, take
away the provider's router. then on your Mac go to Airport Utility, after
pressing on the image with VO space. find edit butto
It would help to kno who your provider is. Also, if you can, exchange the
router/modem combo, to just a modem, that way all you have to do is plug the
modem from your ISP to your extreme
