Yes. It basically shows you the Facebook site, either Mobile or Desktop
version, without having to go to Safari first.

content with next to nothing in it, just some frame which itself holds
nothing. I see no Facebook-related content whatsoever. I'm not
prompted to log in, and I see no menus, so it must be logged in

well, I do have regular menu tab. I could unlock extra features (making it
pro). so far, the interface seems pretty simple.
