after 2.5 how ever
If you're referring to alert sounds in general (and I'm sure Mail supports
using those), they can be any format that quicktime supports. So not just aiff,
but also wav/mp3/m4a/caf/au will work. Just put them in ~/library/sounds and
most apps should pick them up.

If it's from a format supported by QuickTime, then the avconvert tool should
help you. Otherwise, ffmpeg.

This is the format that apple uses for sounds in email on the mac. I have
some sounds I want in there, but don't have a program to do it.
Suggestions?

Is there an app to batch convert word docs to pages? I have a lot, and
doing it one by one would take forever!

convert the documents to pages format? I'd do this with care, as sometimes it's
possible to modify or lose formatting altogether.

Hi,
I've not seen an app that does things this direction. Most things I've seen
tend to go the other direction. I played for a while today trying to build an
AppleScript to do this but there aren't enough Pages features scriptable yet
for me to make it work. At least, in my limited

Hi Paul,
I have the first version of Amadeus lite and to my surprise when I
looked under file I did not find the Batch Conversion option. So it looks like
this is part of the Pro edition.

Yes. When you look at the app store description of the lite version, it doesn't
mention batch conversion.
But, you know, I paid $40 for gold wave a few years ago and never used anything
in it except for the batch conversion. I guess I always figured I'd get around
to doing more complicated
Hi. Does amadeus lite do batch conversions; or is that only found in the pro
