Thanks, John. I think for today I'll just use a regular taxi, but I'll look
into Curb.

Donna,
You might want to consider curb if it still exists. It will book taxis and
you can pay the standard way. I do find UBER to be about 20-50 percent
cheaper.

Yeah, it does sound like that might be the way to go. Unfortunately, that
won't help me this afternoon. :)

Hi Mika,
It's mostly a personal preference. If I spend cash, I know exactly how much I
spend, and how much I have left. Whereas, with a credit card, it's easier to
overspend. I'm also careful about who I give direct access to my line of

anywhere. Part of Uber’s appeal and business model is that there is no need
for cash. Though they have had to make allowances in some markets, they even
discourage tipping. Lyft does allow for tipping, but again the
Hi all,
I just moved to a new city last week. I had planned to start using Uber.
Yesterday I downloaded the app to my iPhone, but it appears I have no option to
pay in cash. I would like to contact them about this. Does anyone know how
this can be done?
TIA,
Donna
