I found a cotact in the name table of the contacts app. Then I pressed vo shift
m and there was an option to export vcard.

You do not need mobile me to sync contacts. Syncing on the Mac happens between
the address book on OS X and the address book on the iPhone, if you have the
sync contacts ticked in iTunes then syncing will automatically occur.
