garage band help

Hello I am wanting to remix some songs adding samples and loops on top of them. how do I find out the tempo of the song that I want to remix and how do I then have the rest of the project match the tempo of the song that I am wanting to remix? I am hoping I am explaining this correctly.

Hello is there a way to have garage auto beat map a file and then adjust the intire project to the tempo? I have a couple of songs that  I want to remix and I need it auto beat mapped and set up so the rest of the project eg loops samples match the tempo of the song not sure what this type of
