Hi Yuma, Perhaps you can clarify your requirement? The way I've used hotspots, closing the associated app renders them inapplicable. When I reopen the app my hotspot again becomes active. Only way I know to save them is via the export preferences menu item in the voiceOver utility. Perhaps

The hot spots are automatically saved, until you either replace them or get rid of them. Unfortunately, you can only have up to 10 hot spots, from numbers 1 through 0. That's Apple's design. The hot spots are only active if the program associated with them is open because it's a quick way of

Thanks for those clarifications. I always thought hotspots just didn't work anymore once a program was closed for some reason. This actually makes more sense anyway, but i always used hotspots for document referrals only, but this sort of changes a bit more of my workflow :) Thanks again

Hi, Hotspots are persistent through reboots. I'm not sure whether this was true in the earliest versions of the OS when they were first introduced in Leopard, though. They do have to be someplace that VoiceOver can see, though -- else we could set hot spots for the problematic app icons that

Hi all! Whilst playing around with hotspots I also found that you can find out what is in a particular hotspot! If you do not want to look at all your current hotspots but want to look at 8 only you press vo+command+8 and it will tell you what you have there! Oh yeah Jes great podcast! Colin

Hi list, This might be something that's already been answered, but here it goes: Can the hotspots continue to be active when a program closes, and is there a way to save them somewhere? Maybe using keyboard maestro or quickeyes? There are a bunch of hotspots i'd need to have beyond the
