Usually, the mac does not need external drivers, like apple says,
usually, it just works.

Hi, this is surprising. Most usb headsets should work fine on the mac.
Once you connect it to a usb port, are you able to select it under
sound in system preferences? Also, be sure you are connecting it
directly to the mac and not using a usb hub.

Hi Anna,
I was hoping that you would get it going? You will soon have the hang
of this mac environment. It is awesome just different from Windows.

Hi Robert,
Thanks so very much! When I plugged the mike in this morning and
nothing happened, and it came with a CD with Windows drivers and
nothing for the Mac, I figured I was out of luck. But when I opened
Sounds as you suggested, I found out the Mac did see it, and it works
just fine.
Hi Anna,
How do you know that it only works with Windows. Have you gone in to
preferences on the Mac to see if it shows up under sounds? If it does
show up,
you just need to select it to get it started working.

Hi,
I would like to buy a microphone/earphones combination that will work
with my Mac Mini. I bought a USB headset mike last week, but it turned
out that it only works with Windows. What do I need to look for to be
sure it will work?
Thanks a lot,
Anna
