I tried selecting text inside an email message while interacting with the text
using control option return at the start of where I wanted to select, and then
again, control option return at the end of where I wanted to select text. Then
I hit command c to copy but it didn't work. turns out

I find using the shift whilst using the cursor keys works fine for selecting
text, and use command + A to select all text.
