For me it also worked that way, initially I was not using all 4 fingers. then I
tried the vertical gesture and even tried using my thumb instead of pinky,
which also works btw.
Finally I hit the sweet spot and now seem to have the kinaesthetic memory and
can do it easily.

For what it may be worth to some, I found that, the first few times I tried
this gesture I was really using only three fingers because my pinky was not
really touching the phone. Once I adjusted my hand the small amount required to
compensate for this all worked fine. HTH

Hi all, I went to an at&t store and they couldn’t get it to work on my iPhone
6. However, on the urging of someone on this list, I tried it again, and it

I finally got it to work most of the time and it’s a magical gesture. I love
going from one open app to another. I’m doing it vertically which is much
easier and more reliable so thanks to whoever suggested that.

& tried this. For me, having my 4 fingers vertical is a lot easier & more
comfortable on the slender 6s screen.

You swipe left and right. I finally did get it to work but for me it’s going to
take a fair amount of practice. It’s really cool when it works though because
it just opens the previous or next app without going to the app switcher.

It's a universal gesture that works with or without VoiceOver being active. In
fact, the only place (other than on your Home screen) it likely would NOT work
