For me it also worked that way, initially I was not using all 4 fingers. then I tried the vertical gesture and even tried using my thumb instead of pinky, which also works btw. Finally I hit the sweet spot and now seem to have the kinaesthetic memory and can do it easily. Jenine Stanley dragon

For what it may be worth to some, I found that, the first few times I tried this gesture I was really using only three fingers because my pinky was not really touching the phone. Once I adjusted my hand the small amount required to compensate for this all worked fine. HTH Sandy Sent from my i

but it's not a VoiceOver gesture, so it wouldn't be recognized there at all. It's a universal gesture that works with or without VoiceOver being active. In fact, the only place (other than on your Home screen) it likely would NOT work is in Practice Mode, because that mode catches every gesture

Is anyone else having trouble getting the 4-finger left and right swipe gesture to work? I love the concept of what it’s supposed to do but I can’t get it to work. I have a 6S and small hands but somehow the swipe just doesn’t work. It took me a while to get the 3-finger swipe to work though
