Yes you can send a DM from twitterific on the iPhone. DM are a standard twitter
function that’s supported on all the clients I’ve every used. Haven’t used that
client for a while on the iPhone though.

used is to find user, go to the drawer, interact, go to the user actions menu,

Yes, its a lot of steps, but I don't think you can tweet Follow user anymore.
