The Archive Utility that comes with OSX (located in System/Library/CoreServices for some reason) will uncompress a dozen or so file formats including zip, bzip2, gz, tar, tgz, jar, compress (.Z) uuencode and others. So for most people it's all you'll need. Stuffit is a pretty old format which

What is a good, accessible unarchiving program for various compressed files like .zip etc? I have downloaded a program called StuffitExpander, but haven't tried it yet and have no idea if its accessible. I suppose I should follow my own advice and just give it a try and find out for myself,
