Hi friends,
Does any one know if it is possible to bring vmware player files .vmx into
vmware fusion? I'd like to try the new firtual edition of vinux.

Scott,
vinux is pretty awesome. It is the ready orca (speech on) version of linux. I
haven't tried the vmx option yet as I just got the ubuntu and vinux up and
running the other day.
Warning though, the volume on the base install is very low. It works great
though.

I just didn't want to grab the many gigabyte download and then find it didn't
work. I think that'll be a nice project for me when I get home.

Hey Kev,
I did go look it up and it sounds interesting. I have a very simple
console-based Debian distro setup as a VM and it works very nicely. THis might
be something to add to tinker with.

Vmx files will work in fusion. I have tried this before and there's no problems
at all.

I move images between VMWare Player on Windows and Fusion on the Mac all
the time so I don't see why it wouldn't work for other VMWare platforms.
