When I am editing slides; I am not in presentation mode, voiceover will not
read the slide content. it just says, "edit text."
How can I fix this major issue?
I just noticed it this morning. I am using the latest version available.

I'm not experiencing this problem. I just tested a PowerPoint presentation in
Keynote and I was able to read the text as normal. Is this a presentation that
you created yourself? Is it something that someone else created and possibly
used pasted images instead of actual text for their in

Hmmm. That's odd as it works as it should for me. Are you, for sure, in the
Body text of the slide, not one of the other Rectangle text areas?

Hi,
All I can suggest at this point then is to restart your computer so that
Keynote gets a fresh look at things. I don't know of any other reason why you
could be experiencing this.

Have you tried to make a new presentation? There may be a possabilty that the
file is currupt or it is just not there anymore.
So making a new presention and if it works, then you will know something is up
with the file or settings of the one you are having problems with.

Try exporting it to PowerPoint then re-opening it in Keynote.

The reason I asked to start a new file is to see if the problem persit. We are
just trying to troubleshoot here. If the problem continune if you made a new
file then we need to look into what's wrong with that. But if the problem is
just the file then we need to see what's wrong with t
I exported to powerpoint and opened it in Keynote, and it worked. What do I do

Hi,
You should be able to just save it as a Keynote presentation again from the new
version. That is, once you've re-opened it in Keynote, either go down to
Duplicate or just down to Save and it should allow you to save it as a Keynote
presentation.
