Fair enough, but make sure you have a copy of what you need at least, when the time comes. To find the amount of space required for a backup, you can go to System Preferences, Time Machine, then press the Options button. In the dialog is listed, somewhere, the full amount of space required.

Hey Zoe, I really think you should find somewhere to put at least your critical stuff—documents and whatnot. Don’t worry about the software on your Mac until you have made certain that your stuff is safe. iCloud Drive, if you don’t mind Apple keeping it for you, is one such place. Then,
