Does the -dump option work? At present I use this feature on my Linux
box to grab real audio streams that I can then listen to on the 770 when
I have no wifi access.

I'm not sure why but i tried (without the libmad) the package from the zaurus and the official one (latest version), and the first use a lot less cpu... maybe some cpu compilation instruction
