I'm trying to develop an application using WiFi (which depends on link
quality).
Do you use an IDE? Can't we test the vistamax plug in ?
I've tried kedit :) this works great but I can't make a deb package.
So I use eclipse with its maemo plug in. But It seems to be very
complicated!!

chip used in the N770 was a conexant one. Further investigation with
Samuel Ortiz seems to indicate that the current "prism54-softmac" driver
