I wasn't able to play any videos (even the demo video shipped with

and it didn't work either, so I'll try to install the 770 version.
Correction: mp3 worked
Hi, after following the thread about no bug fixing in Nokia 770, I

I'd like to create a couple of ".desktop" files describing applications

rather they live under /home/user/ rather than /usr/share.
Is there a directory under /home/user the system searches for
applications?

Yes, like in some democratic systems: first round with all candidates
and final round concentrating in the most supported candidates.
The difference here is that the second round doesn't start from scratch,
since the previous ranks are still there. But still.

My thoughts about maemo summer of code projects...
I think that a good way to manage the slot assigned to maemo could be
selecting the most important categories for the maemo project and then
finding the best project in each category.
Let's try to roughly categorize the proposals:

The past week I released a gpl-licensed flasher for both Nokia Internet Tablets.
On this first release, the flasher can:
- get some information of the device (nolo version, boot device, etc..)
- (un)set the usb host mode
- (un)set the R&D mode
- extract the firmware pieces from the device
