osso-xterm and on-screen keyboard

With IT2006 on the N770, and with pine with its 'mouse-in-xterm' mode enabled, I could tap on the menu options in pine and tap on mails in the folder index, etc. With IT2007 on the N800, this still works, but the virtual keyboard pops up every time I tap on the screen -- which is unhelpful becaus
