Are there any download stats for the packages in maemo extras or
extras-devel?
I would like to see how popular the krb5 and openafs packages are.

The Easy API [1] provides an module to manage maemo contacts. It uses the
evolution.ebook API. See the contact.py module at SVN repository.

I just tried to do some basic cursor movement using ansi sequences,
but they don't work in the standard xterm. I know vim and other
things work but they may be using the panels or some other library.
Is this just not implemented, or does it use something completely non
ANSI/VTxx?

extras-devel are expected to break sometimes. Regular users shouldn't use
extras-devel and leave it enabled.
As nobody else has stepped forward to update the obviously broken package,
I can remove it for you if you reall
