in my opinion ogg/vorbis should be good enough, but it requires to install the
extra codecs. If you prefer a proprietary solution mp3 is also quite good, and
you can encode on your favourite linux distro withe lame.

in an attempt to port Wesnoth to Fremantle I found that two
dependencies (as in the subject) are currently not available as
standard packages, even though compilation and execution seem to work
fine. Is somebody planning -or performing- the enhancements?
