My question is: can I use dual boot, one from n800 device with OS2008

customised etc) OS2007?
It somewhat works. You can boot both 2007 and

Agreed on the pros and won't repeat them, well done, but there are cons

The mozilla-based browser works very well.

Nice tip,
I would echo Frantisek comments. I have run mmc boot from both environments,
ie 2008 kernel with 2007 rootfs and vice versa. The basics work both ways.
The up/down doesn't with a 2008 kernel and 2007 rootfs but does the other way
round. wifi doesn't in either cross environment. Bluetooth

Hi,
I seem to have a problem with a specific jabber server on my N800 running
OS2008. I can't seem to connect to jabber.ccc.de. I always get Network
error. I'm 100% sure my account details and settings are OK. The server is
up and I can connect using GAIM on my PC. Anybody else having problems

I guess it is in userspace connection manager stuff. One could verify it
by trying to bring wi-fi up via wireless-tools
Or we could build the newer driver for the old kernel. This would then allow
os2007 kernel with both os2007 and os2008 userspace.
I don't understand the cx3110x driver source versions on maemo. They go 1.1,
1.2 and 0.8.1 in that order by date? Is the earliest tarball the one in use

Thanks to all who answered in public or privately.
For connection selection in crowded wifi, it's the scrollbar
that's unusable, using up and down pad is kinda okay. Situation
is not that great but it might now warrant a bugzilla.
Same thing for virtual finger, Home button is a good
workaround
