with regard to modest, it supports imap idle and seems to refresh instantly. i just set the poll time to 2 hours and yet see my new messages immediately. this seems to stop the new mail notices which i am guessing reduces the load as that seems to be triggered by the active polling. nice though

Piotr A quick thing to check is running 'top' and looking for cpu bandits. I had a 3rd part app gobbling up cpu due to a bug once; another time an internal launcher app was going nuts and it turned out to be caused by an sdcard corruption problem. Brad ___

Hi, I know battery life topic was brought to this forum, but now I'd like to ask about new OS2008 and battery life. I have noticed significant decrease since I moved to OS2k8. I didn't ask before as I was waiting for official release. Now I can confirm this is issue (in my case). Running on OS2007
