Dear Maemo fellows,
I am trying to use my N900 like an USB host.
i bought an A-A USB connector so I could plug in devices using my Nokia USB
cable.
I installed h-e-n, the USB host mode enabler.
I played around with it but every device connection ended up in a kernel driver

Has anybody played around with trying to get the N800 to support USB
host mode? Yes, I know that this won't work without a modified USB hub
to inject +5V onto the USB port.
The reason I ask is that I was planning on trying to port a program
over, and I'd really like to have USB host mo
I want to use USB host mode on my 770 and am looking for a portable 5V
power source.
Right now I'm not sure if I want to build one my self with a 9V battery
and regulator or buy something.
Any experience with the "Swiss Gear Portable Battery Charger for iPod"?

I finally reinstalled scratchbox after upgradingthe OS on my desktop
(64-bit Fedora Core 9, now need vdso32=0 kernel parameter as per docs)
and had a go at compiling gphoto2.
Which worked :-)
However, my tablet keeps locking up in USB host mode, then (AFAIK) the
watchdog reboots it.

I am wanting to use the USB host mode on my 770. Can it be switched
back to standard mode using the flash utility after switching it to
host mode? If not, can I do this from a XTerm? Would switching it to
host mode cause problems with upgrading the firmware when the new
release comes out?

Hi all
I actually sent out an email last night asking a similar question:
Hi everyone, I've read a number of emails and forum posts that talk about
using the usb to connect peripherals. I used the flasher to enable R&D mode
and USB host mode and there are no errors. But when I r

Can you do that (turn on USB-Host mode) without re-flashing the device?
Thanks,

I believe what you're looking for is here:
http://test.maemo.org/community/roadmap.html There's a _huge_ list of

reality in terms of what might be implemented. I believe the plan is
to flesh it out as far as who's running any parti

of our current and mid-term plans, the idea is to identify them so the
community knows that they can take the lead on those without risk of
overlapping.
I will put "USB host mode" in the Wishlist. I plan to update the r

Well, you need Y cable that comes with most/all 2.5" IDE->USB

I really would like to purchase an extra Nokia tablet or two, to
connect them over wired ethernet. The general idea is to use an
usb-ethernet adapter wired to the Nxx miniUSB port, and enable host
mode.
Then I´d run a general Linux distro on it, if possible (otherwise OS2008).
Is this (USB host

Regarding whether N900 will support USB mode or not, I am confused about

There are some (one?) hacks around, which seem to make N900 sort of USB host
mode device (I do not know how they exactly work), although officially the
device does not support that (as expressed by Gil Quim).
