One can also ping from laptop and manual IP can be set from N800 UI,
so no need for xterm.

xterm.
most of my guess will go for the MacBook handling the Internet sharing. Also
both unit must set their wifi to Ad Hoc mode, at least that setting works
for my n800+thinkpad+ubuntu setup.

i've just get my N800 yesterday, and i plan to use it as an end user
for some job (taking notes on specific people using first a notes
taker then a web app run locally (i 'm a web developper mostly php
and ror).
But my first problem is that i can't connect on internet :-(
