hi,
after release, there are a lot of perl modules to be updated (at least
196 regular modules according to magpie).
however, please refrain from updating them: i'd like first to update
perl to 5.14.0, which is binary incompatible with perl 5.12.3.
therefore, updating perl modules after 5.14

Hi,
as we have uploaded the new version of mageia-release, some of you may
have seen that urpmi sources have been changed to use
distrib/1/ instead of distrib/cauldron/ , especially if you didn't touch
to the default configuration.

We should have waited before uploading this rpm.
People being upgraded to stable is a demand from users ( see -discuss ),
and that would have been saner to wait at least until

Well, as I did not update today
freetype2 didn't get a tainted build yet; I've committed the changes
in SVN; not sure if there's still time to submit it, but ideally it
wouldn't affect the release ISO's as they'll only have the non-tainted
freetype2 build.

Is there any specific reason (regressions, incompatibilites?) why Mageia
(and Mandriva) still ships dkms 2.0.19 even though 2.1.1.2 is the latest
upstream release, or is it simply because nobody has updated the package?

I thought the core build of freetype2 already has the bytecode interpreter
enabled (since the patent expired).
Why is there still a need for a tainted version?
