This is mostly done in the set_access function apart from merging date
ranges the more complicated rules. Will leave these till a later
release as they are lower priority.

Both Craig and Kristina were initially frustrated by the lack of a link
on the collection name in My Collections (see email below). So unless
anyone has strong objections, I think we should link the collection name
to the first view in the collection, if the collection is not empty.
