When you insert an image into a text box and select one from your files
area, Mahara stores the full path to the image rather than the relative
path. The same I think applies to pages / collections.
Is it possible to just store the relative path so changes to the wwwroot

Data in text boxes is stored serialized. Thus, when wanting to make
changes, it's not as straight forward as simply replacing an old URL
with a new URL. Changes are necessary when an institution moves to a new
URL for its Mahara site. Any images that have been placed into
Patch for "master" branch: https://reviews.mahara.org/8016
