"Strong" password standards are evolving pretty quickly. I think it's
outside our scope to put up a password strength meter that will be
really robust.

This jQuery plugin looks to address the needs for a good password meter:

It checks the randomness of the string given rather than for any
specific rules (unless you add the rules you want).

I just want to note that this is _very_ tricky to do well since it's not
just a question of "how many letters have you got" and "do you have a
mix of numbers and letters".
