I'd like to have one mailing list be able to subscribe to another list (on
the same server, of course), but not to have duplication for people who
are subscribed to both lists. (This is a really nice feature of MIT's
Project Athena mailing lists, by the way.)
I couldn't find anything on this in

reminders the first of the month??? I'd say that's a probl

Over 1000 messages were sent from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"... Which is
quite something, given that there are only two subscribers to this first
"test" list. Obviously many of the subscribers from other lists got an
email from this address.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. Turned out that there were
messages stuck in the mailman queue (~mailman/qfiles) that were causing
some problems because the queue was taking too long to process.
(Due to using SMTPDirect and some messages having STMP errors.)
If you look in ~mailman/q
Sorry I didn't precise:
It's a Debian Potato with mailman_2.0final-1.deb
package.

Hi,
Mailman stopped working on our server.
There is no error messages in any log files.
We have a dozen mailing lists. Mailman
does answer any post whatsoever any more.
Web interface still works. List creation
and subscription requests work when sent
from the Web page. But there is no answer

I'd like to add a link at the bottom of the monthly archive view to the
main index of months (threads, date, etc page)
Where would I go about editing that html?
Also, I would like to add searching to the top of each archive page (main
index and monthly view pages). I'm sure that is in the same
After much hand-wringing, chmoding, chowning, trussing, and
re-compiling I still could not get beyond this simple little
problem.
Alas, when double-checking my double-checks I stumbled across a
nosuid flag in the vfstab.
Silly me.

Hi folks,
I've finally gotten the 2.0.1 release uploaded to SourceForge. This
is a bug fix release only, see below for details. It's being
distributed as a gzip'd tarball like usual, and also as a patchfile
against the 2.0 source tree. If you grab the patchfile, you'll want
to cd into your 2.
Hi,
I've got a list with 9900 email addresses, each one on it's own line:

I am using the program through an installation on the my web host's server.

Since they installed the program on the server and not me, I'm not sure what

Hi Charles. If I read your post right, you're building with the wrong GID.
Try configuring with --with-mail-gid=99.
