I have a 2.1.6 installation with many mailing lists. In one of them
messages are not getting distributed. Looking through the archives, it seems
that I might be hitting a malformed mime message

The "VirtualDomain.org IGNORE" line can be in /etc/postfix/virtual.
What happens if you add @localhost to the end of a line in
/usr/local/mailman/data/virtual-mailman,, then run postalias on it:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

So our old list server died, and I opted to switch from OpenBSD to
Fedora for the new one. This is a brand-new system with nothing weird
or complex on it, yet. It is running Fedora Core 3 (I know, FC4 is

Thanks for posting this - I didn't even know this filed existed! I
think I've located the problem - mailmanctl isn't running. However,
when I try to start it (with "/usr/lib/mailman/bin/mailmanctl start"),
nothing happens. I tried to su as user mailman to check the crontab
and try and

default mailman package, so I blew it away and reinstalled the RPM
from scratch. This added a mailman home directory (good), but I still
couldn't su (bad). Used vipw and changed mailman's shell from
/sbin/nologin to /bin/bash.

reads [EMAIL PROTECTED] That seems
to have works. The question is why did it not work before, and will I
have to do this manual to all lists in virtual-mailman.

I have a problem where if we get some type of spam cause emails to 'ping pong'
back and forth. Instead an email going to me (ie the list owner) they appear
to go back to the list, and get held again (because the list owner alias
isn't on the list) and back and forth it goes about 40
