Hello Dennis,
If you are using the CentOS 5 and installed Apache as part of the
install, you should have a file called 'ssl.conf' in the
'/etc/httpd/conf.d/' directory. Have you set up that file correctly?
When I set up my system, I needed to make a few changes to that file.
In my file, I have
Hello all,
Some of the users at my site send/post their messages in HTML format.
As we know Mailman does its best to add the list's message footer. At
our site (with HTML formatted messages), the footer usually appears as
an attachment (generally called Part.002 or Part.003, etc.). The

Hello,
I will drop in my two cents worth here. At my location, we needed a way
to manage and age out old messages from the archives. The way the
archives are presented aren't really an issue here. However, to do the
management, I used the PHP IMAP interface to access the mbox files.

removing old archives. Run once a month for marking old messages, then
once a year to remove marked messages. We can then keep a running 2 - 3
year archive going.
Thanks again,
Chris

Hello,
I am in the process of trying to automate our Mailman Archive
maintenance before it gets unruly. I looked in the FAQ and wiki for
information and found some about rebuilding the archives (which will be
handy) but nothing about automating it.
The assumptions I am working under:

Password Reminder section. I may even switch the
order of the Edit Options and Unsubscribe sections.
Definitely something to think about.
Thanks,

tripping them up.
Thanks for the input,

Hello all,
Don't know if this small addition would be useful to anyone else but I
will pass it along.
A little explanation first. It seems our users have some difficulty in
unsubscribing from the lists they are on. I know it is simple, yet I
get a lot of email complaining the process is to diff

I searched through the documentation and the archives but I was unable

Is there a command I can send to Mailman VIA EMAIL so that Mailman send

Hello all,
How odd? I can potentially answer another question.
By "novell email", I am going to guess you are referring to either the
Novell GroupWise client or Novell's GroupWise WebAccess client (email
via the web).
Let's start with the GroupWise client. Depending on your settings, you

For what it is worth, I use Evolution occasionally. To change how your

"Edit->Preferences". Select your account and click on the "Edit"
button. Under the "Identity" Tab, change the "Full Name" information to

Hi Mark,
I would think if the person logs into the list with the Site Admin
password, the admin cookie/flag is set and the GUI portion for managing
that option is displayed. Or not if the appropriate cookie/flag is not set.
That is what I was looking at doing with the special members stuff I

Basically, I want to add a accept_these_special_posters config entry
(list specific so I can use mlist). Then modify Moderate.py to do a
matches_p(sender, mlist.accept_these_special_posters) before the if
mlist.isMember(sender): statement.
Thanks,

Hello all,
I have what I hope is a simple question. First, a little background. I
have two lists - call them A and F. Both lists are moderated.
List A is used as an "authorization" list, does not/is not used to send
any messages, and has about 10 members, one of which has the email
address o.
I cannot think of any reason for having a null admin password. It is
possible for corporate entities as Stefan mentions but even then
probably very rare. If you are going to add the code to check for a
null admin password, why not add an additional check to see if a new
config option is set to ye
