I recently installed mailman on a new Ubuntu server.
The setup went through without a hitch ... Or so I thought.
When I try to log into my installation of mailman using a browser:

However, when I go to http://myipaddress/
I recently installed the following:

As far as I know, Ubuntu, Apache, ISPConfig, and Postfix are running ok. I
verified this by:

I recently rebooted my Fedora server.
It has a copy of Mailman 2.1.8 installed.
I usually have to restart mailman by running mailmanctl after rebooting.
1. How do I add mailmanctl as a program that will run on boot? I don't want
to have to run mailmanctl every time I reboot the server.

How can I make sure only 1 notification is sent?

For some reason, the gate_news cron starting giving this error every 5
minutes:
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied:
'/usr/local/mailman/lists/testlist/config.pck'
To the best of my knowledge, this list does not have a mail/news gateway.
Can someone let me know how I can get rid of this error?

I must have messed up a setting on my mailman server because none of the
requests sent by email are being processed.
When I send a subscribe request to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I see
my Postfix server relaying the message to the mailman server, but it doesn't
actually subscribe the email address that I

Is there a way to configure mailman so that the To: address is the actual
address of the recipient, instead of the list's address?
For example, when I send a message the the list, mailman-users@python.org,
could it be setup where the To: address of that message is specific to each
subscriber?
So,

Something weird is happening.
When I subscribe to a mailman list by sending an e-mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
it looks like the request is received by the mailing list, but then the
confirmation email is sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Therefore, no use

For some reason, even though I formatted my message as content-type
text/html, mailman changes the content-type to multipart/mixed.
I checked the content filtering settings and nothing there that I can see
changes the content type. The only one I see is an option to change from
text/html to text/p

I recently installed mailman.
How do I stop mailman from sending a confirmation e-mail if the e-mail
address is already subscribed to the list?
Right now, a message is sent stating that the e-mail address is already
subscribed.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for helping me through this installation.
I made it so much harder than it needed to be (made 2 installations at the
beginning, and forgot about the first installation)!
Anyways, I just wanted to hear some feedback as far as the scalability of
mailman. I have a ma

How do I send an HTML formatted e-mail to all the subscribers to my mailing

Basically, I'm trying to use Mailman to send a monthly newsletter to all of
our customers. This newsletter will only be an announcement list, where only
the administrator can post to the list.
