I've noticed that on several Mailman lists I'm running, subject lines
sometimes get chopped after commas or semicolons. This doesn't
always happen, though. It's not just a matter of things being
chopped after the 78-or-so chars, either. Sometimes, it's after a single word.
Below are example

I got it to work after you inspired me to look more closely at the URIs
that Mailman uses.

Is there any solution to the problem with mailman ignoring line breaks in
welcome messages?
If I place the following in a welcome message...
My Name, List Manager
My Phone Number
My Email
My Website
...it comes out looking like this when emailed to new subscribers:
