Try checking to see if postfix is configured to only listen on the loop-back
interface (localhost 127.0.0.1). You should check the inet_interfaces value in
main.cf. If it says
inet_interfaces = localhost then that is probably your problem. Change it to

Evan,
There are a few things you need to understand about postfix and its
interaction with Mailman. The first is that postfix will not allow a
script to be run from the virtual file, only from the aliases file which
is looked at by the "local" delivery agent. Another thing to remember
is that pl

change the name to the actual host name in the envelope (and sometimes in
the header) From address. If it is defined with an A record pointing to the

Chuq,
Thanks for all of your good ideas in this thread. I'm new to Postfix, and
Mailman. How would I defer DNS in Postfix? I have a few lists (read only)
with about 1200 addresses that send out only a few messages a day, at most.
I have MAX_RCPT_TO set to 500 so I would expect mailman to split
Stuart,
It sounds like a problem in your crontab entry, not in mailman. Check the
crontab entry.

What MTA are you using?
