It depends on Content-Type at least. If you e.g. have Content-Type different from text/plain or text/html you should not expect content to be shown inline. If you use multipart/related instead of multipart/mixed behavior is also unpredictable, and it's a common practice to show related part as an

Hi Everyone, It seems recent update at yahoo while parsing email having bugs. I have observed that if we keep Content-Disposition: inline its showing content as an attachment. As per RFC standard it should render automatically. Please find attached snapshot for the same. --Vaibhav __
