*JOB TITLE- Infrastructure Business Analyst* *LOCATION- Boston, MA* *DURATION- 6+ Months Contract* *MODE OF INTERVIEW: F2F * Important Skills *Technical –* *6+ years BA experience, 5-8 within infrastructure*. Developing and documenting infrastructure system and functional requirements for new or changing applications within infrastructure and executing necessary production support activities (as needed). Asset tracking, infrastructure projects tracking/metrics. Complex analytical reporting using SQL, VB or other languages. MS Office proficiency (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint) *Soft –* Excellent communication, experience working in matrixed environment *Plus –* Health care management experience. Track assets (they use blazent for this) and depict deployment and utilization of server/network Data Center assets (they use *Structureware* software for this). *Description:* Responsible for developing and documenting infrastructure system and functional requirements for new or changing applications within infrastructure and executing necessary production support activities (as needed). · Maintains and uses Blazent (Asset Management), At Task and Structureware technologies as applicable for infrastructure documentation and metrics tracking. · Ability to lead and execute complex analytical and reporting projects specifically involving reporting programming using SQL, VB or other languages. Maintaining the entire inventory of all midrange systems and related components and all associated vendor hardware and software maintenance information. · Demonstrates deep knowledge of the BCBSMA SDLC and champions this common approach and processes across the IT delivery teams. · Exhibits strong interpersonal relationships with business partners, project managers, IT delivery teams and Leadership. Serve as consultant to business domains, enterprise IT operations teams and Infrastructure PMO in planning and coordinating systems analysis, design, and implementation/enhancement projects to automate processing or improve systems. · Focuses on developing and improving processes, leads in metrics development within Infrastructure organization. · Facilitates and ensures monthly inputs to our Asset Management system are completed on time and accurately. This is for all components across the teams (server, database, network, security, voice, desktop, backups). This information is critical in quality assurance of security and system components. · Provides training and consultation to all infrastructure teams and ensures traceability of business requirements through all stages of development. · Conduct solutioning/assessment activities to define small or medium sized projects/enhancements. · Ensure that the design and integration of proposed systems, software, and hardware solutions, lead to the development and growth of the organization through effective use of technology. Works directly with technology partners to understand objectives and formulate solutions (systems, processes, and procedures) to parallel and strengthen overall organizational strategies. · Contributes to business and technology strategic planning by providing objective feedback, insight, and recommendations (which may include non-technical solutions). · Tracks and publishes Infrastructure team activities and metrics. o Develops reports, analyzes metrics for trends and makes recommendations for improvement o Provides support for production issues such as providing inventory and maintenance information, performing configuration updates, and testing production fixes o Actively contributes to internal departmental process improvement, acting as a role model and mentor to colleagues. · Applies strong functional and application knowledge while analyzing infrastructure operations and determining opportunities for improvement · Highly collaborative and organized, multi-tasker, able to work in matrix environment, self-starter · Builds and demonstrates interpersonal relationships with business partners, project managers and Infrastructure teams. · Actively contributes to conversations with technical counterparts on options, risks, and costs versus benefits of various solutions. · Leverages existing assets by conducting research to determine if existing infrastructure assets, services definitions, and/or requirements can be reused; Uses standards as much as possible. · Implementation o Supports solutioning/assessment activities to help define projects/enhancements o Conducts solutioning/assessment activities to define small projects/enhancements or single medium sized projects; requires minimal guidance in choosing techniques to meet objectives. · Uses appropriate SDLC standards, SDLC support tools, and infrastructure tools. · Works closely with project managers to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget and meet business needs. · Collaborates with technical teams to ensure current state system components and future state components are fully documented. · Communicates business and/or process perspective during design reviews. · Intermediary between the technical resources to ensure technical design, development and testing meet the needs of the organization. · Identifies tracks and helps resolve issues; helps create and execute mitigation plans. · Tracks InfrastructureTeam activities and metrics. · Improve operational efficiency of existing access databases, reports and infrastructure · Depict deployment and utilization of server/network Data Center assets via the Structureware software; critical to Data Center implementation and planning. · Analyzes metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Works with Blazent and At Task tools to create reporting metrics documentation. · Works with counterparts at BCBSMA, outsource vendors to monitor and ensure appropriate maintenance support levels. · Create, develop and maintain reports and databases using excel, MS Access, SAS and other programming/reporting tools. · Actively contributes to staff development and internal departmental process improvement, acting as a role model and mentor to Infrastructure Team colleagues *Experience and Education:* *Background and Experience* § BA or BS degree in Systems, IT, Business Management, or related degree preferred or equivalent experience; Health Care Management a plus § 5-8 years Infrastructure experience required § Direct production support environment experience in Health Care Management a plus § 6 plus years of Business Analyst experience, with Health Care Management background a plus. § Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. § Ability to work with offshore teams § Excellent written and verbal communication skills § Influencing/negotiation skills § Interpersonal/relationship management skills § MS Office proficiency (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint) § Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Regards, Saumya Khare Talent Acquisition Specialist Tekshapers Inc. 1441 E.
