Is there an alternative for Site Administration that does not use PHP? In the
installation guide, it states several times that "IF" you want to run Site
Administration from the machine, you must install PHP. What are the other
options, if I would prefer not to use PHP?

btw, in addition to core fdo libraries you will need, at the very least,
to have the sdf and shp fdo providers installed for mapguide to compile
properly.

based on what you've described, i'm guessing that you don't have the fdo
libraries installed (please correct me if i'm wrong and ignore the rest
of this message)
these libraries must be in place prior to compiling mapguide.
have you 1) downloaded, compiled and installed fdo and the fdo prov
configure: error: the default FDO include path /usr/local/fdo-3.2.2/include
is not a valid directory. Please use the custom option

compatibility for MapGuide Ent 2007, so it's not compatible with MGOS 1.1.x
and 1.2.x, for solve this issue you can either install the
Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.zip or Use MapGuide Studio 2008 Beta Version
