I have installed MGOS 1.2 and now get the error message in my Studio 2007
when I try to view any resource in the Studio Site Explorer:
Value does not fall within the expected range
Is there any solution to this - other than buying Studio 2008?

If you are using MGOS 1.2 and PHP, the version of PHP is 5.2.1. This version
does not load the GD library properly, resulting in an error if you try to
create images on the fly, using the imagecreatetruecolor() function in the
process.
I solved this problem by taking the php_GD.dll from PHP versi
I face the same problem. Have you found the solution?

Sure, here's a FeatureSource for the PostGIS provider that works. After
altering it with your connection parameters you can upload it using the
Set Resource call of the MapAgent, typically found at:
http://yourserver:8008/mapguide/mapagent/
You do not have to specify the header.

If you're using PostGIS, the AsKML() function makes it pretty easy to
dynamically generate KML data. Even from polygons/lines/etc. Maps
tends to get confused with large features though. You might prefer to
use some kind of custom image tile instead. I think that Andy is doing
this.

I have no samples, and have not tried to build the overview map, but it
would be nice to have.
You can look at how the AJAX viewer refreshes the current map.
The function Refresh(), should lead you through the steps taken.
You can request a map from the MapAgent by using the form:

There are some applications here:
http://mapguide.osgeo.org/livegallery.html
Some of the sites allow you to download the source code.
This site has some basics in Spatial Analysis, Markups and the like
(with PHP source):

Regards, Kenneth, GEOGRA
Studio does some checkups on references, it might be what is causing the
problem.
You should check that the mentioned file "SymbolDefinition-1.0.0.xsd"
exists.
Next step is to go to the http interface:
http://localhost/mapguide/mapagent/index.html
Click on "Resources" (top-left) then "DeleteR
If you are able to connect to the datasource, there should be no problem
displaying it.
These are the steps to follow:
1. Create a datasource
2. Point it to the PostGIS database
3. Click "Test connection"
4. When it works, save the datasource.
5. Create a new layer
6. Point the layer to the data
