Could it be something like this?

I have also seen a similar problem, where the FDO provider is workin on
one machine but not the other.
A problem like that usually shows up in the server log with "Unable to
open provider".

No .prj file but, I was just informed that the coordinate properties are:
Projection: UTM Zone50N
Datum: Luzon 1911
Units: Decimal Degrees
Spheroid: Clarke Spheroid of 1866

Hi Emma,
Do you get a viewer but no map? Or do you get a viewer but an error message
inside? Or do you get nothing at all?

Hi All - With great assistance from Jo Cook, we have been able to build MGOS
v1.1 on Ubuntu Server 7.04 (Fiesty Fawn).
I have written some instructions on the wiki @

AFAIK the selection style is currently fixed.
There is an entry in trac regarding userdefined selections.
If it is a requirement that selections appears different, you can
emulate the selection with basic redlining techniques.

I am not 100% on the coordinate systems, but I have not found a way to
add coordinate systems.
You can generally use the EPSG code or WKT format for the maps.
The problem is that you cannot enter these codes in MapGuide Studio.
You have to change it in the Xml and then load the modified Xml back
I am interested in doing this in the AJAX viewer.

Welcome Travis.
As to your first question, I don't know. When I started, I just dove
in head first, however, that is how I learn best. My suggestion is to
just start looking at the code and figure out what does what. Also,

Where can I edit the style of the map selection? Basically I only want
it to select the border of a polygon rather then the whole thing.

Hi folks,
I am new to MapGuide Open Source - in fact, very new, like 3 days new. My
company is moving away from ESRI technology (primarily ArcIMS for web-based
apps) and embracing MapGuide Open Source. Our clients like the price tag.
I have read most of the Newbie documentation that I can find.
You cannot do the first suggestion, as the SetSpatialFilter will clear
any previous filter.
You can combine the objects, but you can also use Sql like:
"Geometry Inside GEOMFROMTEXT('...') Or Geometry Inside GEOMFROMTEXT('...')"
The ... should be replaced with the WKT for the objects.
