Verify that the server config is functioning. Examine the actual config file
on your server installation; look for the file
.../Wms/OgcWmsService.config.awd
And see what's present at around line 39. You should see
38
39 localhost:8008
40 /mapguide/mapagent/mapagent.fcgi
... or something
I can't add the support server to the site server. I always tells me
"invalid stream header"
Which means I can't tell the support server to handle functions like
mapping, rendering, etc.

Another likely cause is that the MapAgent.fcgi or MapAgent.exe is not
allowed to run.
You can adjust settings for that under the "Extensions" node in IIS.

apart from the admin showing the ip address, are there any problems?

I have seen installations where the FCGI is broken.
Try using this link instead:

:D yes, that would be one way of coping with it.
If you are up to the task, you can compile the mapguide server on your
own machine.
After compilation, it will create the .cs files required for the wrapper.
You can modify those to work as you want, but be aware that you will
need to keep your
Hi Kenneth,
Thanks for the tip, it saved me hours of trying. This also means that we
need to write our own .NET wrappers over existing .NET wrappers to include
proper object de/serialization... :-)

Yes, you are missing a few key pieces of information.
First of all, the MapGuideAPI (MgMapCollection and others) are based on
C++ classes and actually wrappers created with a system called SWIG.
This means that not all properties are public and writeable, thus you
cannot use the .Net serializer
I selected many geometries, including points, lines and polygons, from 3

of these selected geometries, and then I make a buffer of the
MgMultiGeometry. Theorectically, if these selected geometried are very
close, the buffe

Is it possible to use System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer class to
instantiate actual type returned as XML by MgByteReader.ToString function? I
see people are using DOM to iterate through resulting XML and I simply can't
get why, since there are specific OSGeo.MapGuide type definitions.

There is a strange mark on the printed page when using the DWF viewer. the
mark can also be viewed within the preview page of DWF print dialog.
Whether does it happen to everyone? If so, how to remove the mark?
Please help me! Thanks.
