OGRProvider.dll with dependency walker:

In my experience, if the path is incorrect, mapguide studio didn't show
anything but 'data resourced used in this layer' textbox. Feature Data Setup,
Scale Range and Bitonal Image Setting disappear from layer editor. In this
case, mgserver will report stylization error in the error.log.

the coordinate system should show 'Local' instead of 'Default'. 'Default'
usually shows up if the path is not correct.

I've resolved the issue. After trial and error I found some ecw files that
were not related to the other ecw files, so were in effect providing
multiple "default" coordinate systems.
Removed the offending files and all is well now.

If you only have to consider the current position of vehicles, you can
easily use a database.
Just add an x,y columns, and perhaps speed and other data to a table.
Then make a service that accepts coordinates from vehicles, and update
the correct row in the database.
