I went ahead and installed Maestro just to see if it made any difference. When I loaded it, I used http://:8008/Mapguide... for the path to the server and it works! I can also access the Mapguide server via my workstation now, though I don't know why. I am happy to finally get things working. Tha

I suspect you are right Martin. Until I can find a way to access the settings I'm dead in the water. I'm not clear on whether I need to install an authoring tool such as Maestro or if there is one built in. From what I read somewhere, there is an authroing tool included in the Mapguide installer
