have you tried linking the excel table into access and accessing that?
otherwise, you could just load the spreadsheet into a real database
which will just work
excel isn't exactly the best choice of datasource
sometimes if the angle your trying isn't working, it's best to re-evaluate

itself. Then you can set an alias for your joomla site or stablish it as your
default web site in http.conf.

To me it seems strange there is no more support from Autodesk for a good DWG
implementation in MGE/MGOS. MapGuide 6.5 was handling DWGs fine (perfect
display), you could even make selections on the DWG layer.

Could have to do with the column names ... I noticed that fdo is not
responding always fine to special characters in the column names -> in this
case ( might be the problem.
In order to locate the problem you could start to strip off the excel sheet.
This helped me already a lot in the past.
