I did another test. I created a new web site (on IIS7) and only added
references to the OSGeo libraries and no code at all. I received the same
error. So, thinking that it may be a trust issue, I attempted to add the
OSGeo libraries to the GAC. using the .Net Framework 2.0 Configuration tool

BTW, The app is running on ASP.Net Development Server, not IIS.

Just to follow up a little more with this issue. Another huge performance
gain we just realized was after we changed the order in which some of our
code functions were firing. The biggest gain we seen was on the highlight
function we have in place on our site.
When searching on objects in the
I checked a 64 bit install of MapGuide 2.2. The output below does indicate 64
bit .Net dlls.
Just as a side note, a 32 bit OS will not be able to load/execute a 64 bit web
extensions build due to 64bit C++ dll dependencies.

The web application project is set to compile as a 64 bit application and the
AppPool is set to use DotNet 2.0 and "Enable 32 bit applications = False.
The error is occuring when I attempt to compile. Unless I'm mistaken, IIS
settings don't come into play until after the application compiles

You can't mix 32 and 64 bit apps together under IIS, at least under the same
app pool. I'm less sure of apache.
