Go to this site:
download the MWF Toolkit
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=9473387&linkID=9242099
You can use it convert to MWX (XML) and use any XML DOM to modify (i.e. C#).

Ali,
Like Jackie, I'm assuming you are referring to the AutoDesk MapGuide 6.5
product that is now discontinued.
Do you have access to a copy of MapGuide Author? If so, you can save
the MWF as an MWX file, which is an XML file. Then you can read the XML
version into whatever platform you ne
No. You are talking about old MapGuide 6.5 technology which is end-of-life
and whose discussions are not relevant to this mailing list.
There are no open-source tools to work with MapGuide 6.5 technology.

There is no 2.3 release. We skipped it.
2.4 will have all the 2.3 features.

Yeah our plan it to get 2.4 as soon as it's stable (not test). Is there a 2.3
available? Never saw any information about 2.3 but with that being said 2.4
would be the goal so we don;t have to upgrade again so soon.

Thanks my thoughts exactly... Our plan is to test 2.4 but was not sure if the
Test version was stable. Any idea on a final release date?

using a combination of tiled an dynamic layers will help

Hello all,
We have used MapGuide Open Source to show nationwide groundplan (map) in an
application. The map is being built up onto the screen in several tiles.
Sometimes however not all the tiles are properly loaded and therefore not
shown on the screen.
Could this be a performance issue? The app

I think they are far too many.
You will have slow map startup (even if most of them are not shown at
startup, because of some per-layer overhead), and a very huge legend,
that is probably a bit overwhelming for your users.

Well, the first one has twice the cores and memory.. but slightly
slower CPU speed.. I'm pretty sure that the 2.4 -> 3.1 Ghz will
not make as much difference as twice as many cores will, especially
when under load.
Just don't bother with 2.2, I would recommend using the latest 2.4 test
build, it's
