Mapguide's memory usage increases by a factor of 3 or 4 exactly three hours
ago after starting the Windows service. This happens no matter what time of
the day the daemon is started.
Does anybody know what Mapguide service causes the memory increase?

Last I check the limit was a maximum of 25k hits per day. Seems like a lot
but really it's not. Every refresh after zooming in/out counts as a hit.
I suggest you switch to Bing.

Yes you can, just pass the session id, map name and layer name to a script in
a hidden frame and unselected or hide the layer.

you should be able to load using MGOS 2.5 and above using OGR feature
provider with a couple caveats. See the following webpages for ogr drivers:
