Hi,
Using the new Maestro3 I thought I'd try the MGCooker now that I can
(natively) create correctly georeferenced GDAL feature sources - when I
launch MGCooker I can login but then get a blank screen where I assume a
resource library should be... is it just me?
Problem solved - although I *had* created a base layer group, and checked it
was OK with a preview... I had not actually saved the .MapDefinition so it
was not picked up by the MgCooker

Raster Image Catalog (RIC) is an old format (.RIC) that MG 6.5 used to index
images.
The XML config document in MGOS does the same thing, just a little more
verbosely - personally I'd prefer if the new format wasn't referred to as a
RIC but if it says that somewhere then it'll have to be!
It's

Three questions if anyone can help with some performance tuning:
1) The recommended total MaxConnections is 62 for MG 2.1 (total of admin,
site, client)
But the default server config.ini has 100 MaxConnections

Hi,
I saw this issue today on Win2k3 ad MGE2011 but it was because I had edited
my providers.xml file manually and added KingOra without the correct
supporting DLLs (Oracle Instant Client).
Out the box it was OK - though for MapGuide Enterprise you may find more
luck on the Autodesk forums:
Flavio,
Are you aware that you can type any value into the ABC list as it was made
an editable combo control?
This is not ideal - the ideal would be a TrueType viewer - but a combination
of Windows CharacterMap and some copy/paste will allow you to preview and
work with varied symbols, albeit
Your map legend implies you are expecting points and lines - can you indicate
what data is missing?
I previously tried to document an issue with missing points in a single
mixed geometry table where the lines included arcs -- but it was hard to get
a test case.
We use KingOra in over 40
It will indeed relate - Haris (Mr KingOracle) has submitted changes to for

Hi,
Can anyone help me find the declarations for the datatypes from a

I have worked out 100 are data properties and 102 are data properties but
would like some constants.
In pure FDO they are called Schema.PropertyType.PropertyType_DataProperty

I think part of my problem was that I have two build machines and on the

I am not sure when this was branched and I suspect that recent changes have

Andreas,
Thanks for the help. The changes you note were to support 9i - but
something else has gone awry!

All,
We have an observation that doing a Window Select in MapGuide 2.1 (AJAX
viewer) queries on the feature bounding boxes and not the feature geometry
for Oracle (KingOra) connections. The following is my understanding and if
anyone can confirm/replicate or advise that would be much
With old MapGuide there was a fantastic option to be able to
1) turn off spatial filtering for a layer - ie ignore the current map
window BBOX (OK, that wasn't that fantastic but the next variant was)
2) define your own spatial filter using special %XMIN, %XMAX variables in a

James,
Long time no reply - found a machine that had one of out customised MG 2.0.2
installs.
See if this is OK. (but I'd still try and start a migration to 2.1 as long
as you are very careful with raster config files as the extents will be
wrong by default putting a lot of invalid load on the
Yes - FDO compiles against a particular version. You need to stick to a v1.4
build.

Trying to understand feature joins so I tried some tests and failed
miserably... can anyone expand on the logic below:

The XML element RelateType should be set to Inner.
