I just tried it out the SDF, i dots and a line using 1.20...
I just noticed you are using the LayerDefinition-1.0.0.xsd namespace.
There is a newer version under C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Schema\LayerDefinition-1.1.0.xsd
which adds CompositeTypeStyle, looks like that

Please change the file extension into .xml.
