To me it seems strange there is no more support from Autodesk for a good DWG implementation in MGE/MGOS. MapGuide 6.5 was handling DWGs fine (perfect display), you could even make selections on the DWG layer. In MGE/MGOS it is only possible to convert to either SDF or produce the DWG as DWF (I ne

A possible reason as to why there isn't a DWG FDO provider to date: The only (official) way to write DWG files (RealDWG) is windows only. MapGuide (Open and Enterprise) is a multi-platform product after all. - Jackie -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/DWF

Ok, I've gotten the closest I've seen yet with this issue. Here's what I did: - Plot using the DWFx eplot (XPS Compatable) driver. - Use a DWF Virtual Pen ctb file when plotting and change the line weight to 0mm. (I had to edit an existing one because you can't add more than whats in the list.

An FDO for DWG is an excellent idea as DWGs are currently imported as dumb images unless the drawing entities are classified. In my case a large extra step as 1.) all my blocks need to be modified to record their info as object data via some yet-to-be-created-by-us interface and B.) the extensive

Compared to MapGuide 6.5 the support for DWG/DWF is really poor in MGOS/MGE. I did not check in MGOS 2.1 yet but in MGOS 2.0 there is even a huge memoryleak when using DWF. -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/DWF-s-display-poorly-tp5321851p5334750.html Sent fr

Amen, brother on the DWG extension. After 3-4 years still falling on deaf ears at Autodesk. When you used the DETE plot config, can you try the paper size at 100 inches x 100 inches with plot to fit? Not sure if it matters but 707 x 1000mm would be abiyt 28 x 40 inches or about 1/4 if the size

What plotter configuration are you using to create the DWF? I use the "DWF6 ePlot DETE.pc3" which generally produces good results for us. I believe it is also the one used "automatically" by the "Publish to Mapguide" function within Autocad Map 3D. It plots to fit paper size 100 x 100 inches an
